BSGIE | BSUGIS – Autumn meeting

4 December 2025 8h30 – 17h30

Thursday, 4 December 2025 | Van der Valk Hotel, Nivelles

Developed in collaboration with the Belgian Society for Upper GI Surgery (BSUGIS), this multidisciplinary event advances clinical skills, patient safety, and best practices in endoscopy throughout Belgium.

The program brings together endoscopists, surgeons, and nurses for an interactive day of learning and collaboration.

The morning offers tailored parallel sessions: gastroenterologists can choose hands-on device training or practical sessions on billing and quality regulations (BygGIE track); nurses receive dedicated training in room setup, electrosurgery safety, and bleeding management; while surgeons explore esophageal motility disorders and gastric emptying challenges.

The afternoon joint plenary session From endoscope to surgery: multidisciplinary approach to benign upper GI disease” focuses on GERD essentials, covering high-quality endoscopy standards, medical and surgical therapies, evidence-based guidelines, and innovative procedural approaches through interactive case discussions with experts.
